About CoCoon Foundation Team
The CoCoon Foundation delivers entrepreneurship as a lifeskill for everyone to navigate the future with purpose and hope. Since 2017 The Jockey Club CoCoon Student Training in Entrepreneurship Program has worked with over 6900 secondary school students in an innovative model focused on T-shaped learning where students will have the widest exposure to the entrepreneurship ecosystem and also an immersive experience in working with start-ups. Senior Education Programme ExEcutive

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement and monitor funded youth programmes so as to achieve Cocoon Foundation’s goals; proposal and report writing.
  • Design and deliver training activities for youth, and promote entrepreneurial programmes across various platforms of CoCoon.
  • Develop and design training materials and guides for youth.
  • Maintain a good relationship with youth leader, school teachers, principals and partners.
  • ​Prepares and manages proposals for grants and funding in accordance with funder's policies and legal requirements
  • Assist in other events as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
  • University graduate with 3-5 years’ relevant working experience or more, preferably in social work, training and facilitation, youth development work and etc.
  • Passion in working with young people with excellent presentation skills
  • Interested in entrepreneurship
  • A self-motivator and self-learner, able to acquire and build knowledge on the job or through CoCoon’s internal resource or market contact and experience
  • Proactive, creative, a team player; able to work under pressure

Community Development Team
This team will connect our members and partners and help us manage our expanding array of programs and bring the CoCoon brand to more people.  A role in this team involves a dynamic work environment, supporting events with loads of creativity and exciting hands-on day-to-day work with local and international entrepreneurs. Our ideal team player will have a genuine passion for community building, an understanding and interest in CoCoon’s entrepreneurship mission and the ability to work with our team in a collaborative environment. STARTUP PROGRAM EXECUTIVE

Job description:
  • Grow the CoCoon online and offline entrepreneurship community
  • ​Responsible for day to day operations of the CoCoon coworking hub 
  • Provide receptionist duties including greeting visitors, handling incoming calls, courier, meeting arrangement
  • Provide full spectrum of office administrative support, such as storage, pantry & sundries management, order stationery and printing materials
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of office equipment & facilities
  • Prepare basic book-keeping documents and reports;
  • Provide support to management, company events and activities

MEMBERSHIP MANAGER

We are searching for a self-motivated membership manager who can help the organization grow with a special focus in investor engagement. The membership manager’s responsibilities include curating an investor base, building, networking and engaging this community. Hybrid work option available. 

Job description:
  • Curate and recruit new members, build loyalty to retain existing members
  • ​Plan and execute outreach campaigns and engagement building events
  • Maintain a membership database, write promotional materials, design membership benefits, observe and analyze member trends 
  • Work with the membership base to achieve the revenue goals

The CoCoon Internship Program 

Over 100 students have participated in the CoCoon Internship Program. Expect to learn lots about community building, early stage investments and entrepreneurship education. We are a fast paced organization, come on in and grow with us! We believe that internships offer two way learning - we will share with you what we know and we are open to learn from you.

  • Support membership workflow, day to day operations and events
  • Support social media, email and customer relationship management
  • Work on business analytics reports
  • Conduct industry research for CoCoon Ignite Ventures 
Requirements:
  • Passion for community building, friendly and helpful
  • Fluent in Chinese and English both written and oral, fluency in Putonghua a plus
  • Organized, detail-oriented, strong ability to problem-solve, follow-through and work together with teammates
  • Proficient in MS word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Interested in social media: Facebook, Twitter, Weibo
  • Experience in Design or Engineering, a plus. 
What to expect:
  • Working hours 9:30am - 6:30pm (Mon - Fri). 
  • Students join on a voluntary basis as this is a no pay internship. 
  • We have three main buckets of work: community building, early stage investment and entrepreneurship education. Let us know which interests you most - or if you'd like to work on projects across all three fields.
  • Internship period: minimum of 2 weeks
